Description

UNITS VR is a complete solution designed for combat training, practice, and acquiring skills necessary to confidently operate MANPADS.
UNITS is intended to practice shooting drills without wasting ammunition and can be used both in individual and collective training. The simulator currently includes three MANPADS types: Stinger/Igla/ Piorun, with specifications that are identical to real weapons and complement training with laser weapons.
With VR technology, virtual world is projected through the virtual reality headset. The operator has a 360° operational picture where a 3D model of the weapon system that fully replicates its movement by the operator is displayed. Due to two-way communication between the launching system and the computer, the instructor can track what the operator is doing, and see the exercise performance. For additional convenience, the picture that the operator sees in the 3D world is projected onto the demonstration screen. The system can assess firing accuracy, response time and other important weapon handling parameters. Every type of weapon included in the simulator also replicates ballistic specifications of the relevant weapon model as indicated by its manufacturer.

Software overview

Our software is designed to project the operational environment onto the projection screen. It includes a wide range of small arms, grenade launchers, anti-tank systems and models with laser modules. Each software module represents a specific weapon system.
Software includes classical exercises based on the Ministry of Defense’s methodology as well as customized training scenarios. Combat training instructor can set up an operational scenario that would be very close to real conditions – including such features as fault analysis, hit count, and detailed performance data. It is also possible to collect exercise statistics, make student rankings, and compose an overall data base of training centers with performance scores.
